How to Install Cyberpanel on Ubuntu 22.04 Complete

After we previously provided a tutorial on installing cyberpanel on various OS , in this article update.or.id will provide a tutorial on installing cyberpanel on Ubuntu 22.04.

Maybe some of you are asking why you have to make this article and how is it different from creating or installing cyberpanel on an earlier version of Ubuntu vps, right?

Basically, to install cyberpanel on Ubuntu, both versions 18, 20 and 22, the steps are the same, however, regarding cyberpanel on Ubuntu 22.04 itself, it hasn't been able to be implemented or supported for a long time.

Even up to November 2022, this matter is still being discussed because since the release of Ubuntu version 22.04 LTS until mid-2022, both cyberpanel and litespeed have not supported the latest version of the Ubuntu operating system, namely 22.04.

However, towards the end of 2022, Litespeed Tech, as the owner of a Litespeed-based server, has issued a litespeed repository for ubuntu 22.04 , as well as cyberpanel, as the owner of the cyberpanel control panel, is starting to try to support this latest version of the ubuntu OS by issuing a developer version of the control panel for testing.

And finally, after several trials and input from various parties, Usman Nasir as the founder of Cyberpanel finally included the latest features that support the Ubuntu 22.04 OS in the stable version of version 2.3.3 and can already be used.

For information about the developer version until it is released or added to the stable version v2.3.3 for ubuntu 22.04 you can read on the cyberpanel forum at the following link https://community.cyberpanel.net/t/cyberpanel-support-for-ubuntu-22/37258 .

For this reason, in this article, we will provide you with the information and a complete installation tutorial.

The first step, of course, is that you have to install the VPS with the ubuntu 22.04 OS first. You can install it on the VPS service that you like, however we recommend using Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Digital Ocean or Vultr services because they have good server and service specifications.

2. Login to the Server Using SSH

The next step is to log in to the VPS server using SSH access or if you use Azure or Google Cloud services you can use their SSH portal.

After logging in, make sure you first change your access to superuser to make the installation easier. If you don't know what the superuser password is, you can change it first by typing the command

3. Updating and Upgrading the OS System

After you change to superuser, the next step is to update and upgrade your OS system to use the latest system by running the command below

1. apt-get update
2. apt-get upgrade -y
3. apt-get dist-upgrade

Then wait for the process to complete at each stage. When it's finished, you can restart the VPS first by typing the reboot command , then log in and change to superuser again.
